Trient Asset Management AS (“Trient”) is an independent investment company based in Oslo, Norway. The Company was founded in 2011. Trient seeks to provide clients with the trust and confidence to invest with a long-term horizon. The founding partners include Knut Kjaer, the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Norges Bank Investment Management (1997-2008).
Three of the five Trient Partners were instrumental in building Norges Bank Investment Management that manages the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund.
The Trient partners have extensive background in asset management, risk management and tailored investment solutions. They maintain a wide global network of individuals and institutions inside and outside of the financial industry, and are frequently asked for their thoughts and guidance with regards to global economic challenges and the development of best practices in risk and asset management for long-horizon investors.
Trient Asset Management is authorized by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway to provide fund management, portfolio management and investment advice, and currently manages a Qualified Investor Fund and a UCITS fund established on Irish fund platforms.
The investment management function is carried out by the portfolio management team at Trient Asset Management in Norway.
